Overview:

This exercise illuminates what loving touch looks like.

Materials:

• Oil pastels
• Bristol paper

Transcript


Process:

• Starting with eyes closed, focus on your breathing.
• Think of a person or animal, real or not, whom 
you love with heart and soul.
• With eyes closed, bring
 your drawing tools to the paper as if caressing your beloved's body. 

Sketchbook Reflection:

• Repeat in your sketchbook with a pen or pencil. This time imagine stroking your beloved’s face or arm. 
• Learn from 12-century poet Rumi's writings about the greatest "Beloved," (link below).
