Seeds: The Fertile Void
This work explores how flora connects with the female-mother-body. I’m interested in the juxtaposition between the reproductive systems of plants and my own body. Each painting has a little dark space like a womb, cavern, seed, egg, or embryo, examining the transformative energy of womb spaces.
The work looks playful and botanical, evoking bubble-style graffiti writing, but also contains deeper emotions about infertility, loss, hope, and joy. The paintings celebrate life and lineage, asking the question “where do we come from and where do we go?”
