Kat 8 x 8” | Sisters Collection | oils on wood panel | ready-to-hang
This piece rose from wanting to breathe life into the epitome of feminine beauty. Recently I was reminded by mythologist Joseph Campbell that women represent life; they are "the goal" of so many of our ancient myths, literally or metaphorically. To be a women is a great privilege and responsibility. Painting them is an exploration of that for me. This one accidentally looks like one of my artistic heroines -- Kat Von Dee, tattoo artist extraordinaire.
