Soul retrival is a shamanic healing ritual, during which the shaman functions as the soul catcher. They journey into the patient's underworld to find the missing piece of soul. The word “support” kept singing in my mind when painting this piece, like the forms were supporting each other, allowing each other to become whole. Just like soul catching.
