This piece was came to me as I drove down the 1 along the Pacific Ocean, listening to Joseph Campbell's "The Power of Myth." He told a story about a man killing a bird, which killed the bird's song inside his soul. The man died along with the bird. The moral was to learn interconnectedness; destroying animals, we destroy ourselves.
